A simple practice routine (10 minutes)
- Whakahā (2–3 slow breaths)
- Hum the melody (no words yet)
- Sing line by line (repeat each line 3 times)
- Put the verse together
- Finish by singing it once through calmly
Helpful habits
- Practise little and often.
- Record yourself (even just voice memo) and listen back.
- If there are actions, practise the rhythm first, then add words.
