Quick guides to help you during Waiata Wednesday.

Arriving

Come early if you can to settle into the wharenui.

  • Remember to remove your shoes and leave them at the mahau (front door / porch). Leave food and drink outside too.
  • Greet those already inside, if you are new find your buddy and greet those you feel comfortable to do so with.
  • Find a place on the benches or the cushions on the floor.
  • Chat while others arrive. We don’t bite!

When arriving late, be respectful of anyone speaking. Come in quietly and find a spot quickly.
